Emily was in her elementary school's production of Jungle Book, and privileged to be one of only four second graders, among a cast of 150, with a speaking part (yes, Emily gaining a speaking part is hard to imagine, but run with it). So for two months, we got to hear her practice her fourteen lines... Often. LOUDLY! And with feeling. Plenty of feeling. Our belle of the boards kept the house hanging on her every word as her Ziki the Wolf Cub dished out such memorable lines as: "THEY EAT LIKE PIGS!" Little known fact: Lord Laurence Olivier played Ziki in his first theatrical role (we think). Anyway, some scenes from the play: |
So, not long after we got it, using our new camera was a walk in the park...
